In an open letter to the Public Prosecutor of Athens, 3 members of Solidarity Network to the Palestinian Resistance, members of Freedom Flotilla I, Grigoropoulos Michalis, sailor in "Free Mediterranean", Andreas Moustakas, passenger in the "Free Mediterranean", Christos Tsigaridas, passenger on the "Sfendoni" seek the arrest of war minister of Israel.
In their letter they indicate that the visit of E. Barak in Greece is a challenge to the feelings of friendship and solidarity that Greek people share for Palestinian people. Ehud Barak is one of the major war criminals, burdened with multiple crimes against the Palestinian people. Last of these crimes is the invasion of the Gaza Strip in January 2009 as part of operation "Cast Lead", which Barak supervised from the status of Minister of War of Israel.
They remind the prosecutor that Ehud Barak has already been sued by all members of the Greek mission of Freedom Flotilla, including the signatories of the open letter. For it is he who as Minister of War ordered the attack of the Israeli army against the Freedom Flotilla on May 31, 2010. An attack illegal, which was conducted in international waters and was accompanied by acts of incredible brutality.
Finally, they add that it is obvious –in case justice functioned as an independent authority- there should be an arrest warrant issued for Barak to be prosecuted for crimes committed against Greek citizens.
